Period: Second half of the 18th century
Price: € 5.400
Measures H x L x P
Beautiful neoclassical mirror with a frame in carved limewood and gilded with pure gold leaf. The frame is carved with vegetal spirals running along the entire surface, of great refinement. The decorations also feature floral swirls, fantastic animals and cornucopias inspired by classical mythology and ancient themes in the lower part. In the upper part, there are vegetal spirals and decorative festoons with a bow, while in the oval in the center a scene of classical style is represented. In the scene there is a satyr on the left performing the propitiatory gesture of the horns, while holding a cup and a thyrsus. Next to him there is a mask and a young man carrying a horn with him. The mirror is original and contemporary to the frame. Beautiful and of great elegance, this mirror is a unique element to furnish the environment with style and refinement. Lucca manufacture of the neoclassical period, from the late 18th century. Measurements: H x W x D 195 x 98 x 9cm
