PAIR OF WOODEN PAINTINGS, EARLY 19TH CENTURY
Period: First half of the 19th century
Price:
€ 900
Measures H x L x P
Refined pair of oil paintings on wooden panels, complete with carved wooden frames and wooden mats. The paintings depict two figures, both on a white horse. The first, with the horse raised on its hind legs, echoes the painting of the Sun King, a young Louis XIV, whose rich clothing, bridle and hat are appreciated. The other painting, on the other hand, is inspired by the portrait of Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor, who wears chain mail and has a more austere demeanor. This is a pair of paintings of great taste and refinement, capable of adding a touch of class and antiquity to any environment. Italian manufacture from the first half of the 19th century.
