Refined and unique credenza in solid carved walnut, decorated with "Certosina-style" inlays in walnut and other woods. The credenza has a linear shape, characterized by a base and top enriched with moldings, while in the undertop there are carved dentils typical of the period. The furniture also has two drawers and two doors, designed to be ergonomic and practical for storing objects, which can be opened using knobs and particular siren-shaped rods in bronze cast using the lost wax technique. The great exquisiteness of this credenza lies in the inlays on the front, which create intricate geometric inlays of various types and phytomorphic squares, and which give great class. The importance of this credenza is also attested by a plaque on the back; the furniture in fact belonged to the Florentine Count Contini Bonacossi, and was also exhibited at a prestigious exhibition of Italian art in Paris. It is a piece of furniture of great taste and refinement, capable of giving a touch of elegance and antiquity to the furnishings of any environment. Tuscan manufacture, from the Renaissance period, around the early 16th century.
