Elegant inlaid rosewood writing desk, suitable for placement in the center of a room. This refined piece of furniture is distinguished by its paneled frieze and slightly curved legs, enhanced by feet decorated with bronze details that further emphasize its preciousness. The desk features a pen holder with inkwells, which opens via an elegant sliding mechanism. The top, covered in original leather and flip-over, conceals a compartment ideal for storing papers. Furthermore, the top is detachable and features a sophisticated inlay of ebony and rosewood, with geometric patterns, opening to reveal a surface perfect for playing backgammon. Florentine manufacture, from the second half of the 19th century, possibly attributable to the famous craftsman Giuseppe Agostini. Measurements: H x W x D 83 x 65.5 x 56.5cm
