Neoclassical inlaid chest of drawers from the late 18th century
Period: Second half of the 18th century
Price:
€ 4.200
Sumptuous chest of drawers veneered in walnut wood, embellished with inlays in fruit wood and pastille, a typical technique of the Lombard cabinet-making school. The chest of drawers has truncated pyramid legs, characteristic of the period, and a linear and elegant shape. It has three drawers, one smaller one positioned under the top, and two larger and ergonomic drawers ideal for storing objects, opened by bronze pulls. The great refinement of this chest of drawers lies in its very rich and detailed inlaid decoration, which extends over the front, legs, sides and top, presenting geometric and phytomorphic motifs. It is a piece of furniture of great taste and quality, capable of furnishing any environment with class and refinement. Lombard manufacture (Lombardy, Italy), probably attributable to the school of the cabinetmaker Giuseppe Maggiolini, of the neoclassical period, around the end of the 18th century.
